Meeting: Potluck Dinner
6:00 p.m.
Ruth Merrill Center, Wilson Commons

We're holding our monthly potluck dinner. All are welcome; please stop by and sample some tasty vegetarian food!

You only need to bring your appetite, but food is welcome too, of course. Please make sure it contains no dairy, eggs or other animal byproducts so that everyone can enjoy it.

9th (Wed)
Meeting: Arts & Crafts
6:00 p.m.
Ruth Merrill Center, Wilson Commons

Be sure to put your crafty hats because we're going to be making good old fashioned construction paper Valentine's to give to friends, lovers, and random passers by. (As well as talking about the weekly business, of course.)

For this week's mini field trip we'll be making like Cookie Monster (i.e., gorging ourselves with abandon) at India House's Saturday lunch buffet. It's a great way to inexpensively sample some of the delicious veg*an entrees served there. Everyone is welcome, of course; we'll leave at noon.

11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Come visit the UR-VEG table to get recipes, nutritional information, restaurant guides, and tips on how to make the switch to a vegetarian diet. We'll have free snacks!

23rd (Wed)
Meeting: Teach-in
6:30 p.m.
Stackel Room, Wilson Commons

A brief discussion of ongoing projects and other business, then a teach-in about fat.

You've probably heard the old refrain that fat is bad for you, but the truth is more complicated than that. There are different kinds of fats, and the latest research suggests that some kinds of fats may actually be good for you. Want to know more? Stop by the meeting! As always, all are welcome.

25th (Fri)
Trip: Abyssinia
6:30 p.m.
Meet in front of the ITS Center

This week we'll be sampling Ethiopian cuisine at Abyssinia, a fantastic local restaurant that serves a variety of delicious vegetarian and vegan entrees.

We'll leave at 6:30 sharp from the ITS Center. As always, all are welcome.
